HK Legislative Council

In case you're wondering, the man is waiting for the tram.

This is the Legislative Council Building in Central.  The Legco is responsible for debating and passing laws in HK, playing the role of parliment.  Whereas the administrative functions of governing HK is handled by the Chief Executive.   The CE is elected by the 400-member Election Council, though there are plans to introduce elections in 2017 to enable HK citizens to elect the CE.  I have recently become interested in the political climate in HK, having read a book by the Last Governor of HK – Chris Patten.  Will post more on HK Politics soon.
